After having acquired the former Empres of the Seas, Cordelia Cruises has started in the world of cruise travel.
Owned by Waterways Leisure Tourism Private Limited, it has bet again on the industry after the defunct Jalesh Cruises filed for bankruptcy last year due to the situation the world is going through.

“Carrying on the Jalesh Cruises legacy in upholding the spirit, culture and value of ‘Incredible India’ and being Joy’s evangelist by putting together a memorable cruise vacation that delights guests, “said Jurgen Bailom, executive director of the company.

According to the Cordelia Cruises website, the cruise line will sail two- to seven-night itineraries to Sri Lanka, the Maldives, and all of India.

“True to its name, Cordelia aspires to promote and advance the culture of cruise ships in India through elegant, luxurious and, most importantly, inherently Indian experiences. Cordelia is a cruise for Indians that adapts to the way Indians love to vacation ”, they mention on the website as part of their motto.

Cordelia Cruises will offer several dining options aboard the Empress, including oriental, continental, mughlai and Indian street food.

“Take your taste buds on a tour of Southeast Asia with our in-house oriental restaurant that offers delicacies from Japan to Thailand. Either experience a splendid meal curated by our talented in-house chefs, or, if you’re looking for something quick, substantial, and satisfying, choose from a number of our food courts featuring the best of tandoors, pizzas, pastas, grills, and even delicious street food. India! We also have a special Jain Food section, so you can enjoy a delicious meal while sticking to your dietary preferences, ”the cruise line wrote, adding that a variety of sweets and sweet treats will also be available.

As for entertainment, Cordelia promises “wonderful nightclubs” and casinos, as well as five different bars.

For cruises in June and July 2021, Cordelia Cruises offers free tickets for children 12 and under.

On board, facilities such as a swimming pool and a climbing wall will be offered, as well as an “area dedicated to educational and fun activities for children of all ages.
