After three delays in its opening date, The Ritz Carlton’s first ship begins with the launch of its 2021 itinerary which will be in the Mediterranean leaving from Venice, according to the official website, the date of its maiden voyage will be 24 July and will be bound for Athens.
The cruise line, owner of the Barreras shipyard since last August, has explained to the luxury cruise specialized press that this new rescheduling is due to the impact of the pandemic on the cruise industry worldwide. “The safety and well-being of our passenger, Ladies and Gentlemen continues to be our highest priority,” the company told Australian trade magazine Latte.
The ship will have a length of 190 meters, 23.8 beam and 5.65 draft and a value of about 250 million euros, will have around 25,000 gross register tons and will be able to carry up to 298 passengers in 149 suites, all exterior with balcony.
