Royal Caribbean International announced that it will pause operations on several ocean liners due to Covid-19 concerns, canceling some trips and postponing the restart of a ship.
“Despite strict health and safety measures, including vaccination and testing requirements for passengers and crew, and extensive contingency planning, we have had to move forward with this decision,” the company said in a statement.
Vision of the Seas (which is used to quarantine the crew with positive tests) has postponed its return to service until March 7. Serenade of the Seas cruises between January 8 and March 5 have been canceled. The ship will restart operations on April 26 after the dry dock remodeling.
Jewel of the Seas voyages were canceled between January 9 and February 12 and will be back in service on February 20. Symphony of the Seas is canceled January 8-22; It will be back in service on January 29.
