Odyssey of the Seas: A Crew Member fell into the sea while crossing to Israel

An Odyssey of the Seas employee has gone overboard

Odyssey of the Seas , a new build by Royal Caribbean International, which was built by Meyer Werft in Papenburg, celebrated its first call in Haifa.

However, what was not directly mentioned here was a sad incident that occurred during the crossing into Israel.

According to several US media reports, an employee of the cruise ship is said to have fallen overboard during the crossing.

As is customary in such incidents, a rescue operation, including search helicopters, was immediately started.

The CREW CENTER website reports at this point that it was informed that, sadly, the search had to end on Thursday afternoon to no avail – 5000 square kilometers had been logged.

The source did not mention the name of the ship at this time, but it was mentioned in a Cruiselawnews report.

The crew member is said to have been last seen Tuesday night. The captain informed the authorities immediately after the employee’s disappearance that a person was missing. At that time, Odyssey of the Seas was 20 nautical miles south of Cyprus.
