MSC Cruises introduces The First Humanoid Bartender

MSC Cruises revealed the details of “the futuristic MSC Starship Club with Rob, the world’s first humanoid bartender on a cruise ship”.

MSC Starship Club “is an exclusive of the new flagship MSC Virtuosa which will enter service from April 16, 2021 ″. The company announces it in a note.

Rob, the first-ever humanoid, robotic bartender at sea can be found at The MSC Starship Club, a futuristic experience found only on MSC Virtuosa. The bar and entertainment venue is inspired by MSC Cruises’ vision of the spaceship of the future. The spaceship, called MSC Starliner One, features state-of-the-art technologies to create a futuristic atmosphere with 3D holograms, digital art wall and a 12-seat infinity digital interactive table, giving passengers the opportunity to explore space with their own personalized galactic tour. 

“MSC Starship Club combines bar and entertainment and is inspired by the idea of ​​MSC Cruises’ spaceship of the future, the MSC Starliner One, which features state-of-the-art technologies designed to create a futuristic atmosphere. A unique experience that includes 3D holograms, a digital art wall and an interactive 12-seat table that gives guests the chance to explore space with a personalized galactic tour. Rob will mix and serve his signature cocktails, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, and tons of personalized drinks, just like a human bartender, engaging guests with his human voice and expressions for a truly immersive experience. Rob’s movements and behaviors, together with the space clothing of the other bartenders placed in an environment surrounded by futuristic technology.

“Guests will be able to use specially designed vertical digital booths within the area to place their order. Rob will then show all his robotic skills for making cocktails – pouring, mixing and decorating drinks. Not only that, Rob will be able to prepare a wide range of cocktails and will be able to interact with customers in 8 different languages ​​(English, Italian, Spanish, French, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese and Japanese), based on the language chosen by the passenger. when ordering. Rob also has his own personality that evolves according to the surrounding environment and atmosphere. His LED face can express different expressions and allow guests to enjoy his performance while sipping a good cocktail”.
