A 36-year-old crew member died on Norwegian Cruise Line ‘s Norwegian Escape ship over the weekend.
The ship has no passengers, only service members, and is anchored off Port Canaveral, Florida, after the shipping company canceled the liner’s departures.
The man had reportedly completed a 10-day Covid quarantine on the ship, and just a day after his release, he passed away.

The victim was an Indian national who had been working in the bar department. The cause of the crew member’s death is unknown.
The man was isolated in a windowless cabin on Deck 2 for 10 days. One day after the end of the restriction, the Alpha Code (medical emergency) was announced on board and he had died suddenly.
