Costa Cruises suspends its activity until January 31st

“In consideration of the current situation of uncertainty deriving from the restrictions envisaged for the coming weeks relating to the Covid-19 emergency, Costa Cruises has decided to cancel its cruises originally scheduled between 7 and 31 January”. This was announced by the company in a press release just released from the Genoa headquarters.

“Costa will resume its operations on January 31 with Costa Deliziosa , which will offer guests the opportunity to visit the most beautiful Italian locations, with the same itinerary originally planned for Costa Smeralda, with mini-cruises of 3 and 4 days or alternatively a full 7 day cruise. The company has decided to make this change to its schedules with the aim of continuing to offer the best possible vacation experience to its guests. The decision to leave again with Costa Deliziosa will allow greater flexibility in rescheduling the itinerary, to respond to any possible change deriving from the evolution of the COVID-19 scenario in the destinations, maintaining a unique and exclusive cruise experience aboard one of the most beautiful and welcoming ships in the Costa fleet “.

“ Costa Smeralda will still remain on an operational break for a few weeks. The new plans for the ship will be announced shortly. Costa is taking steps to inform affected guests of the changes announced today ”, concludes the note from the company led by Michael Thamm.
