Passengers found with drugs in luggage off-loaded from ship: Cordelia Cruises CEO
Jurgen Bailom, President and CEO of Cordelia Cruises, said that the Narcotics Department found drugs in some passengers’ luggage.
These passengers were off-loaded by Cordelia immediately. The sailing of the cruise got delayed because of this. Cordelia apologised to the guest families for the delay, which resulted in the delay of their enjoyment of facilities of all kinds, including stage shows and various kinds of foods, garba dancing in this festive season and other events planned on the ship.
NCB sources from Mumbai told that the ship was to depart on Saturday for Goa. The agency’s Mumbai zonal director, Sameer Wankhede, received a tip-off, after which he and a team boarded the ship, posing as passengers.
When the ship left Mumbai shores and was at mid-sea, a party began where drugs were consumed, said sources.
